so last night i got a phone call about 11 while my roommates and i were watching batman begins. the caller id said ontario, and i was like i don't know anyone from ontario!

they said, is joe m***** there? and i was like, yeah. and they said i'm friends with chris k*****, i'm with my band in a van, we're in downtown portland, we just came in from omaha, all our cell phones are dead, and we need a place to stay. so of course, if chris k gave them my number i thought they must be okay. we ate popcorn and watched the office and in the morning i took them to new seasons. they were cool but that was my good deed for the month, its good punk rock karma to give a band a place to stay.

they were called Orphan Choir (click me.). they were on their way from ontario via omaha to vancouver bc to record an album. i think it will make them sound better than the tracks on their myspace but its not bad at all.

they did say though, that they were told chris k could see justin's shaved head in scenes from the dark knight! is this the truth? that would be awwsome.

Amazing, i did it because I wanted to be apart of the Dark Knight somehow. I never really expected to actually get screen time. We shot with at least 400-500 other people. who'd have thought the one time I do extra work it would be for a phenomenal movie! I'm just happy I could be involved with something Batman no matter how minute it maybe.

so apparently, RATM was supposed to play the same night that the RNC was going on in minnesota but their concert was shut down by the police. so they decided to offer up this acappella version of bulls on parade and killing in the name of instead!

the drummer for this band is the lead meat cutter at my job. his name is kevin and i heard one time he took a pig's head with him on the bus and used it as a prop at a show. it is hard not to like this guy. listen to those drums.
