I got off work last night at midnight and somewhere in portland i knew there were more than a thousand naked cyclists ready to ride. i'm definitely going to the world naked bike ride next year.

However, Portland has adopted a stricter “indecent exposure” law, 14A.40.030, which conflicts with Oregon's “public nudity” law. shit, I didn't realize that was this weekend. Only caught it 2 years ago and last year we missed it by 5 mins the whole night.

random thought: it has only ever happened to me in portland, and nowhere else but the pacific northwest can you ever suddenly realize as you're emptying your pockets, that in the left pocket, wrapped in plastic, you have a candy bar-sized chunk of homemade salmon lox, and in the right pocket, two sticks of handmade salmon jerky.

I can honestly say that has never happened to me.
